Debt Update 1 - October 2019

Debt Update 1 - October 2019

So October is officially over and despite starting this journey 10 days into the month our debt results for the month have been really good.

Here is the break down of how much debt we have paid off in October and how much is left.

End of October Debt Update
  1. Natwest Credit Card 1 (£5000)  - Was £2400 - Now £2340
  2. Natwest Credit Card 2 (£5000)  - Was £2000 - Now £1900
  3. Barcleycard Credit Card (£10,000) - Was £5250 - Now £5100
  4. HSBC Overdraft  (£1150) - Was £850 - Still £850
  5. Natwest Overdraft 1 (£200) - Was £200 - Still £200
  6. Natwest Overdraft 2 (£500) - Was £500 - Still £500
  7. Very Catalogue (£540) - Was £400 - Now £296.81
  8. Loan (£3000) - Was £2887.75 - Now £2800
  9. Capital One 1 (£1000) - Was £1000 - Now £602.79
  10. Capital One 2 (£1000) - Was £110.79 - Now £39.47
  11. Sunny Loan (£250) - Was £206.40 - Now £0
Total Was £15804.01 - Now £14629.07 - Reduction of £1174.94 (7.43%)
Percentage paid off from original total of £27,000 - 45.81%
Percentage of Octobers Salary paid off of debt - 27.7%

Now we did get paid a bit extra this month which allowed us to pay a higher amount than we will be expecting to pay from now on (not to mention my husband might be taking a pay cut to take a less stressful job) Scary! So I am not expecting such great numbers every month but I am hoping to pay 20% of our salary off debt each month for the foreseeable future.

The next two I want to focus on getting rid of are the two capital one credit cards!

See where we started from here!
